WEATHER STORM SIREN PROCEDURES

Once the National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for the City of Grayville or anywhere in White County or Southern Edwards County, the Weather Storm Sirens will be activated for (1) 6-minute cycle, silenced for 2 minutes, and sounded again for 6 minutes. (Due to the configuration of our sirens there may be a slight pause in the 6 minute cycles.) Once the National Weather Service announces the warning has expired or has been canceled, an “all clear” will be sounded as such: three rounds of 30 seconds with a 1 minute break in between.
